St. Jacobs market is in the heart of Mennonites Country
St. Jacobs liegt mitten im Mennoniten Land.

One can see them in their traditional costumes
Man kann sie sehen in ihren traditionellen Trachten.

The food sold is all home-made
Alles Essen, das verkauft wird ist hausgemacht

and excellent. Incidentially, much German was spoken
und ausgezeichnet. Uebrigens wurde viel Deutsch gesprochen.

While the mennonites are working hard, their horses are patiently waiting

The restaurant we visit was called "Crossroad".located at 384 Arthur Street South, Elmira, Ont.
It is a Mennonite Restaurant, food and service was all done by Mennonites.
Das Restaurant, welches wir besuchten, hiess "Crossroad" und ist an 384 Arthur St.,South, Elmira, Ont.
Es ist ein Mennoniten Restaurant, das Essen und die Bedienung war von Mennonoten gemacht.

This is land behind the restaurant - on a muddy, wet December day.
The soil in the fields, as can be seen, have been attended to and prepared for the coming season.
Dies ist Land hinter dem Restaurant - an einem trueben, nassen Dezember Tag.
Die Ackererde auf den Feldern - wie man sehen kann - ist bearbeitet worden und vorbereitet fuer die naechste Saison.

Along these wed fields we drove to Kitchener. The city hall is loacted at 200 King St. West. That is were the Christkindl market takes place each year.
We had lots of fun - as can be seen here.This is a beautiful yearly exhibition and everyone is looking forward to it.

An diesen nassen Feldern vorbeit fuhren wir nach Kitchener. Das Rathaus ist an 200 King St. West. Dort finded der Christlkindl Market jedes Jahr statt.
Wir hatten viel Spass - wie man hier sehen kann. Eine schoene Ausstellung auf die man sich jedes Jahr wieder freut.
